How do you avoid age discrimination on a CV?

You can avoid age discrimination on your CV (also commonly called a resume) by doing these things:

  • Don’t include your date of birth
  • Focus on your most recent work experience and remove reference to any work experience that is over 10 – 15 years old
  • Deleting the year you graduated from college or school (no need to include when you left Year 12)
  • Include skills that will show you are technically proficient and not afraid of technology (e.g. Microsoft Office 365, Zoom, Trello)
  • Choose a modern CV template from resume.recruitablehub.com
