Yes, you should put a job you got fired from on your CV (also commonly called a resume).
If one of your past positions is relevant to the job you want, you should always list it on your CV. Simply list your start and end dates for the position. You do not need to mention why you left unless asked during the interview.
If an employer asks why you left your job during an interview, telling them you were fired isn’t necessarily a deal-breaker. Many employees are let go for reasons unrelated to their performance, including:
- Company downsizing
- Restructuring
- Changing business needs
- Industry impacted by an external event such as COVID-19
