Should I put my resume on LinkedIn?

There is no need to put your resume on LinkedIn, especially as your work experience and skillset should be in your LinkedIn profile.

Resumes include some personal information that you don’t need all of your connections around the world to have.

If you are using LinkedIn to apply for jobs, you should attach a tailored resume to each specific job posting you apply for. Simply follow these steps:

  1. In LinkedIn, click “Jobs” in the menu
  2. Click on a job you want to apply for
  3. Click “Apply”

Some companies will accept your resume directly via LinkedIn, and others will prompt you to upload your resume on their own job portal.
